Qi Shuai wear-resistant steel plate is manufactured by welding one or more wear-resistant layers on a medium carbon steel or low carbon steel substrate. The cover alloy has a large amount of hard chromium carbide particles. These particles are evenly distributed throughout the layer to form a strong microstructure. The hardness is HRC 58~62, depending on the thickness of the cover layer.

The main components of the wear-resistant steel plate are C (%): 3.0 to 5.0 and Cr (%): 20 to 40. This chemical ratio results in a large amount of Cr7C3 chromium carbide hard particles. The microhardness of these particles throughout the layer (up to HV1800) will ensure an ultra-abrasive surface.

The cover layer and the substrate are metallurgically bonded. The overlay will penetrate the substrate by approximately 0.8 to 1.8 mm and reach 350 Mpa in our tests.
